7th Annual Perfect North Trip


Our 7th annual Perfect North trip is here and it is for the entire family! It is a perfect excuse to break away with your loved ones for a fun filled day of skiing and snow tubing. I hope to see you and your entire family on the slopes soon!

Date: January 28th

Cost: Lift Ticket only (required for skiing and tubing) $39. Rentals $17. Helmet $5

Travel Details: Please arrive at Springdale Community Church at 6:45am to check in, eat breakfast (probably donuts and fruit), and for final instructions about the day. We will depart from Springdale promptly at 7:15am. We will Ski until 5:30pm and depart from Perfect North at 6pm. Please bring money for lunch and dinner. They have a cafeteria on site or you can pack your food to save money. I recommend you bring $20-25 for food. We will also stop on the way home for dinner (fast food). We will get home around 8:30-9pm. If you are not on the trip we will have your child text you an updated time when we are in route.

**Please let me know if you plan on driving separately. In the past I have rented too many vans (which are very expensive) for the group. So please let me know your travel plans as soon as you make them.

We are doing something fresh and exciting for this year’s Youth Christmas Party! The middle school and the high school students will each go to 3 different houses to participate in a Progressive Dinner. At each respective house there will be one course of a home cooked meal and a fun Christmas activity. After the 3 course meal and the activities then we will all meet back at the youth building to end the night singing Christmas songs. It is set to be a blast! This is a FREE event but, to come, each student MUST SIGN UP. You can do so HERE.

This event will begin from 5pm-8:30pm. Hope to see you all there! And parents you are welcome to come and worship with us at the end of the night! Once your child has signed up you will receive emails with more information.


Rooted, our annual Fall Retreat is almost here! This event is for all 6th-12th grade students.

Rooted will be at Crossing Camps (the Jonathan Creek Campus in Hardin, KY) this year. Springdale will have the entire site to ourselves! We will have 4 services, several camp fires, bazooka ball, laser tag, team building exercises, and so much more. We will focus on how our lives need to be rooted in living out the gospel in practical everyday life. It is always good for teenagers to get away from normal everyday life and focus on their relationship with God and others. This is set to be an awesome fall retreat!

Date: October 28-30th

Cost: $120 per student

Travel Details: We will meet at Springdale Community Church at 4pm on Friday October 28th. We will be getting back by 4pm Sunday October 30th.

Summer Fusion 2016

summertimeSummer is here!!!

Below is a list of all summer events with the details necessary. Instead of meeting Sunday nights from 5:00-7:30, over the summer we will be meeting Wednesday nights from 6-8. We will be going to different places and doing different things around Louisville, so please be sure to check regularly for information!

June 8th: Cookout at Tom Sawyer Park

  • We will be meeting at Tom Sawyer Park from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and cooking out, playing games, and hanging out! We will be providing dinner.

June 11th (Saturday): Louisville City FC Game

  • We will be meeting at the student building at 6:30 and leaving at 6:45 to go to a Lou City soccer game! Kick-off is at 7:30, and matches usually last no more than 120 minutes. We should be back to the student building by 10:30pm. You can buy tickets here. Select the Supporter Zone.

June 15: no event due to storms

June 22nd: Game night at the student building/parents meeting for summer camp
  • We will be meeting at the student building from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and cooking out, playing games, and hanging out! We will be providing dinner. During this time, parents of students attending camp will be having a meeting regarding important camp details. 
June 29th: Movie Night: Finding Dory
  • We will be meeting at Tinseltown Theater at 6:00 for the 6:20 showing of Finding Dory! You can purchase tickets in advance at Fandango.com, or you can purchase them at the theater. We will not be having dinner this week.
July 6th: **Location Change**
  • Our cookout will be moved to a game night at the student building!
July 13th: Pool Party at the Myers’
  • If it rains, we will be going bowling instead. Check back here after 3:30 PM on 7/13 for an update.
  • Time: 6-8 pm
  • Location: Myers’ House (address is in the e-mail. If you did not receive it, e-mail jill@springdalechurch.com)
  • Dinner will be provided!
***Please remember to bring your own towel, and to dress appropriately! (Two pieces are ok, but no midriff showing, no cutouts, no low cut tops. Boys must have swim shorts past finger tip length. If you need to wear a t-shirt over a bathing suit that doesn’t meet these guidelines, make sure it is dark!) We will have t-shirts on hand as well.

Reborn 2016


For many, Reborn (our annual “N’ Town Retreat), is their favorite event all year long! I would agree with their sentiments. The name “Reborn” is rooted in John 3:3 where Jesus tells Nicodemus, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Therefore, to put your faith in Christ and repent of your sins can be summarized by being Reborn by the Spirit of God! So, every year we discuss what we have been Reborn to do. This year’s theme is “Reborn to Overcome”.

The important details are:

Date: March 18-20th (We begin Friday evening and end directly following church on the 20th).

Location: Louisville, KY. We will have all of our services at Springdale Community Church (In the Youth Building).

What: What will we do? We do everything from fun activities, to worship services (x3), to service projects (all over the city & age appropriate), staying at group homes (Friday and Saturday night), and much much more!

Cost: $45. This is all inclusive. This covers: Friday night activity, tee-shirt, transportation, food, speaker, worship band, and more. Any money you send with them is extra, but not mandatory.

*If money is an issue contact us at jill@springdalechurch.com. Don’t let money be the reason your child doesn’t come!

Questions?: I will be giving more details to those who sign up, such as, where your child will be staying (address, phone numbers of the home owners and the adult leaders that will be staying with them, service project sites and times, etc.).  But if there is anything that you need to know before you register your child that I haven’t covered here please feel free to contact me at jill@springdalechurch.com.

Attached below is the SCC Medical Release form which must signed and NOTARIZED for each student for the event. If you have turned in a form for either the Fall Retreat (2015) or Perfect North (2016), you will not need another for this event.

Perfect North Trip

It’s that time of year again!! Our annual Perfect North Trip is right around the corner. There will be hours upon hours of skiing and snow tubing that will not disappoint. This trip is for the whole family. That’s right, everyone is invited. Mom’s, dad’s, grandma’s and grandpa’s, 1st 2nd and 3rd cousins….I think you get the picture.

Don’t miss out, this trip comes only once a year!

Date: January 3oth

Cost: $35 for an 8 hr. Lift Ticket (the one ticket is good for all ski lifts and tubing hills) & $17 for ski rentals (you do not have to rent a tube). And if you want a helmet that is an additional $5.

Travel: Meet at Springdale Community Church (4601 Springdale Road 40245) at 6:30am. We will be getting back to Springdale around 9pm. Your child will text you on their way home to update you on the correct time.

Meals: They need money for the whole day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and any snacks). I recommend $25-30. There is a concession stand on site OR you can have them pack their meals in a cooler (**Highly Recommended**). We will stop to eat dinner together on the way home. There is a place with a McDonalds and a Chipotle right next to each other that we will stop at.

Waiver Forms: Everyone must have 2 or 3 forms filled out depending upon if you need a rental or not. One form is for Perfect North, the second is the notarized form for Springdale (If you filled one out for your child for the Fall Retreat that form is still good for this event), and a 3rd one for all those who will need rentals. Once registered I will email these forms to you. Without them, students will not be able to go on the trip.
